INFORMATION FOR THE OHS 2026 SCHOLARSHIP PACKAGE WAS LAST UPDATED:  March 11, 2026.
Currently, this full package listing is not quite complete, as I've not heard back from a FEW of our contributors.  I'll keep updating as offerings change.  The links below are updated immediately when I get news.  When the document and the heading on the website don't agree, generally, use the heading on the website if the document is still showing the previous year.  NOTE:  In the scholarship package, I highlighted scholarships that are likely but information hasn't been confirmed yet.  Everything else is up to date.

If you're interested in applying for scholarships, it would be a good idea to sign up for a number of different platforms, create an account, and see what other scholarships might be out there that are tailor-made for  you, your interests, and your circumstances.  If you want scholarships, you MUST apply for them!

GRADE 10, 11, 12--Outlook Riverview Golf Club Bursary--Deadline May 23, 2026 (Tentatively Confirmed) 

This bursary is for any OHS or LCBI student in grade 10, 11, or 12 who is a member of the Outlook RIverview Golf Club. Preference may be given to a student who is a member of the school golf team.  Good citizen of school, good etiquette, volunteer in community (preference may be to volunteering with Junior golf program), can only receive ONCE in high school.  Fill out application.  

GRADE 11--Horatio Alger Scholarship Program--Deadline March 31, 2025 

This scholarship is for GRADE 11 STUDENTS ONLY who have financial need and are university bound in fall 2026 to begin schooling to earn a Bachelor's Degree at an accredited university.  

GRADE 12 SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES:

Outlook and District Chamber of Commerce Scholarship--May 9, 2026 (tenatively confirmed) 

This scholarship is for Outlook students pursing post secondary with the intent of becoming an entreprenur or working for a local business.  Online application.  NOTE:  FOR 2026, I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT YOU CAN JUST USE THE CURRENT LINK EVEN THOUGH IT STILL SHOWS 2025.  

Brock Myrol Memorial Bursary--Deadline May 25, 2026 (UPDATED)

This bursary is for Outlook and surrounding area students who are enrolled in a post-secondary instittution in studies related to policing, corrections, justice, or law.  

OHS Student Leadership Award--Deadline May 25, 2026 (UPDATED)

This scholarship is for OHS graduates who have shown leadership in the school and community. 

Darcey Busse/OHS Staff Scholarship-Sponsored by OHS Staff--Deadline May 25, 2026 (UPDATED)

This scholarship is for an OHS graduating student attending post-secondary of at least one year in duration with involvement at OHS and community. Application required.

Outlook and District Wildlife Federation Bursary--Deadline May 25, 2026 (UPDATED) 

This scholarship is for an OHS student entering either their first or second year of post-secondary studies related to conservation of habitat and wildlife.  Letters of reference, marks, and future plans required.

Jim Kook Memorial Scholarship--Deadline May 25, 2026 (UPDATED)

This scholarship is for an OHS student entering post-secondary in the fall after graduation who must have shown some involvement in Outlook Amateur Sports in some capacity.  

John Vavra Memorial Scholarship--Local Legion Branch--Deadline June 8, 2026 (UPDATED) 

This scholarship is for an OHS student entering post-secondary who particpates in school and community in a positive way.  Essay required.

Outlook-Rudy FireFlies Bursary--Deadline May 1, 2026  (UPDATED)

This bursary is designed to support Outlook students pursuing a career in first respoinding and who demonstrate exceptional dedication to improving our community.  Applicants will be accepted from OHS and LCBI.  Those pursuing:(Tier 1) Firefighting, EMT, EMR, Paramedic, RCMP, Policing OR (Tier 2) Nursing, Physician (any medical) may apply.

Macrorie Legion Branch #239--Deadline May 25, 2026 (UPDATED)

This scholarship is for an OHS student entering post-secondary related to any trade (technical, agricultural , industrial, hair/esthetics, etc.).  Application form required.     

Gerry McCudden Memorial Scholarship Award--Deadline June 6, 2025 

The Saskatchewan Chapter Gerry McCudden Scholarship is a competitive, merit-based scholarship program designed for graduating grade twelve students who desire financial support for their pursuit of post-secondary educational opportunities. The Scholarship amount will be allocated on a yearly basis to Saskatchewan School Division which currently has a member in A4LE (Sun West and Outlook are members). The method for the selection of the School Division to receive the Scholarship shall be at the discretion of the Saskatchewan Chapter Board of Directors of A4LE.   

Outlook Kinsmen Bursary--Deadline May 15, 2026 (UPDATED) 

This scholarship is for Outlook students who serve and volunteer in their community.  Essay required as well as references.  

Provincial Legion Scholarship & Bursary--Deadline August 15, 2025 

This scholarship or bursary is available to Saskatchcewan students attending post-secondary who are relatives of veterans or active members of the Armed Forces, Allied Forces, or RCMP. Financial need considered.  

Melva Leppa Memorial Scholarship--Deadline May 25, 2026 (UPDATED)

This scholarship is available to OHS graduates attending post-secondary in the fall of their graduating year who demonstrate strong work ethic and financial need. 

PMC Sales Equipment and Irrigation--Deadline May 15, 2026 (UPDATED) 

This bursary is for an OHS grad who is planning on pursuing a trade in the next two years. Must write a 500 word essay on why you chose that trade.  

The Rack Advancing Ag Scholarship--Deadline June 20, 2025 

This scholarship is available to Grade 12 students in Alberta or Saskatchewan, entering in a post-secondary program related to agriculture. Essay and confirmation of enrollment required.  Apply online.  

Wendy Foursha Memorial Scholarship--Deadline June 20, 2025 

This scholarship is available to Saskatchewan or Alberta students, entering, OR IN, a post-secondary program related to business.  Essay and confirmation of enrollemnt required.  Apply online 

Simplot Growers Solutions--Deadline May 23, 2025

This scholarship is available in our trading area for those pursing a career in the Agriculture Industry.  Autobiography, transcripts, and application required. 

Prosperity Credit Union Building the Future Scholarship--Deadline April 15, 2026 (UPDATED) 

Prosperity Credit union is lookig to reward leaders, community champions, and problem solver who are in Grade 12, active member of Prosperity Credit Union, and attending post-secondary in the fall.  You have six different ways to share your story.

Riverbend Co-op Bursary--Deadline April 3, 2026 (UPDATED)

The Riverbend Co-op offers twp bursaries in their trading area to a member (or child of member) who is attending post-secondary.

Access Communication/Doug Alexander Scholarship--Deadline March 26, 2026 (UPDATED)

Access communication awards a scholarship to a student with a record of volunteerism, participation in extra-curr, leadership, and academic achievement.  Online applciation.

Remax Quest For Excellence--Deadline March 6, 2026 (UPDATED)

Remax awards to grade 12 students in recognition for their ongoing community contributions and pursuit of leadershipo.  Essay required.  Submitted online

Sask School Boards awards TWO scholarships--one to a students attending a technical school and one to a student attending university.

Saskatchewan School Boards Association Scholarships--Deadline August 31, 2026   (UPDATED)

This scholarship will be available to an OHS student who is going to post-secondary in an ag-related field.

Ethel and Barry Akins Scholarship -May 25, 2026 (UPDATED) 

Agriculture Student Scholarship-Government of SK--Deadline March 1, 2026 (CONTINUING) 

This scholarship will be available to a Saskatchewan student who is going to post-secondary in an ag-related field.

SARM--Student Scholarships in Safety and Rural Health--Deadline Jan. 16, 2026 (UPDATED)

This scholarship will be available to a Saskatchewan student who is going to post-secondary in fall 2025.  Must have a farming background and family who own/rent land and pay taxes to a rural municipality.  

Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship Scholarship--March 15 (students to Mr. Theoret) March 22 (nominations must be complete), 2026

This scholarship is available to any grade 12 student who has intentions in entering the skilled trades.  They must have completed the Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship Program with Mr. Theoret and discuss this with him.    

Cassidy Grimm Memorial Bursary--Deadline May 15 annually 

This scholarship is available to any Saskatchewan student going into, or already enrolled in, EDUCATION.    You need a brief essay indicating why you are interested in education, financial need, proof of enrollment, and two letters of reference.  

Horatio Alger Vocational & Technical Education Scholarship--Deadline June 15, 2026 (UPDATED)

This scholarship is available to anyone who is planning on attending post-secondary  for trade/vocational by September of 2025.  Student must demonstrate critical financial need (household must show income of $65,000 or less) and be a Canadian citizen.   

Sask Water Future of Water  Scholarship Program--Deadline February 28th (NEW)

This scholarship includes full tuition and books as well as a $1000/month for living expenses.  Student must be attending the Civil Engineering Technologies program-Water management option at Sask Poly-Moose Jaw campus.  Will need letters of reference, proof of acceptance, and transcripts with an 80% in Pre-Calc 30 and Chemistry 30.

Barrett Rankin Memorial Schoalrship--Deadline July 18, 2025 (ANNUALLY-applications open early June)

This is a $5000 scholarship.  Applicants must be at least 16 years old, Canadian residents, in grade 12, and planning to attend university at the U of S College of Agriculture in the fall of their graduating year.  Applicants will need to write a short essay or video about communityand/or farming industry as well as post-secondary goals and reasons for U of S attendance.  Will need a copy of letter of acceptance as well as a reference letter(s).

HolmGrown Arts Fund Award-Deadline May 1, 2026 (NEW)

This is a $1000 award for students in Sun West who are graduating and passionatet about art (visual, written, music).  You have to write a short essay about how art makes you complete and submit at least two original works to Kirt Baxter from HolmGrown Music/Arts Fund.

Matthewson & Company Rural School Scholarship -Deadline May 29, 2026 (NEW)

This is a $500.00 bursary (X 2) for a graduate from a student in a rural prairie province who plan to attend post-secondary in the fall of 2026.

Cody Sibbald Legacy Classic Scholarship- Deadline April 20, 2026 (Continuting)

This is a $2000.00 scholarships.  Ages 16-21 pursuing post-secondary.  Agriculture background and asset but not required.  Cover letter, letter of reference and essay (750 words).  

Growing forward Scholarship--Deadline May 1, 2026 (NEW to us)

This is a $1000.00/each scholarship given to five outstanding applicants.  The focus on the applicant's passion for agriculture, their vision for the future, and their potential impact as an advocate for the industry.  This is sponsored by Lindgren Farms.  Video submission on being an agricultural ambassador along with a cover letter. Must be pursing a future in agricultural industry through trade or university (doesn't have to be Ag program but have to explain connection).  

JGL Legacy Scholarship-Deadline May 1, 2026 (NEW to us)

This is a $1000.00/each scholarship given to 17 rural Saskatchewan applicants.  The focus is to promote growth in rural Saskatchewan by re-investing in its greatest resource--young people. Applicants much be graduating this year, continuing post-secondary at a recognized institution with preference given to anyone enrolledin agriculture-related programs.  Academic diligence and community involvement are considerations.  You need to submit a short letter outlining career intentions and a letter of reference.    

MINISTRY OF EDUCATION HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT REQUEST

NOTE:  THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION IS MOVING TO AN ON-LINE SYSTEM CALLED MyCreds BEGINNING IN AUGUST OF 2024.  Below is the link for the Ministry Transcript request process that will connect you to MyCreds.  Also, I've attached an instruction sheet on how to navigate the system.  Feel free to print it off and have it guide you through the process.  You will need photo identification and will be required to take a picture of the ID to upload to the portal.  A drivers license, passport, or SGI photo ID will work.  

NOTE:  Mrs. Tulp can pull an UNOFFICIAL transcripts for you whenever you want.  Just send an email or pop by her classroom and ask for them.  While the office can do this as well, having Mrs. Tulp do it for you relieves some of the work for the office.
