OHS EVENTS 2023-2024

Outlook High School is an exciting, busy, fun place to be!  We have so many events that go on throughout the year, it's impossible to show them all.  OHS celebrates:  Terry Fox, Telemiracle, Spelling Bee, Seniors' Tea, Assemblies, Ski Trip, SLC House Party, Career Fairs, field trips, Spring Carnival, Awards Night, Grad, and so many more!  Here are just a few!

Terry Fox Walk

OHS Raises Money for Cancer Awareness

Each year, our OHS students take part in the Terry Fox Walk to raise money and awareness for cancer.  Over the years, the Blues have raised thousands of dollars to donate to this very worthy cause!  .

Assemblies

Monthly Assemblies--Proud to be a Blue!

The OHS SLC puts on an assembly each month to celebrate the amazing accomplishments of our Blues, to attempt World Records, to work on Team Building, and to just get together to show how Proud we are to be a Blue!

Seniors' Tea

Serving the Community

Each year, the students of OHS put on a Christmas Tea for members of the community.  Our Commercial Cooking students make delicious treats and many of our other students provide entertainment through choral singing, our band program, and playing instruments.  Our students serve the tea and enjoy just sitting and visiting.

Telemiracle Hockey Game

Do it for Tele!!!

Telemiracle Hockey has become an annual event at OHS!  Students raise money to take part in the tournament and get as many student-teams together as possible.  The teams play off and the winning student team takes on the Teachers/Community Team!  It's a toss up as to which team has won the most games over the years, but we all know the real winner is Telemiracle!

Career Guidance Events

Game of Life (gr. 11 & 12), Grade 6 Career Fair, Sun West Career Fair (Grades 10, 11, & 12)

Sun West is proud to support Career Guidance Education for the students of their school division and OHS is on board!  Our Grades 11 & 12 were able to take part in the Game of Life where they had to budge for a month based on their future career plans.  The community of Outlook came together to support the simulation!
Our Grade 6s put on a fantastic Career Fair every year where the student create a business plan (through Power Play), make their product, and then sell it to an appreciative audience!
In May, Sun West School Divison put on their "Roads to Success" Career Fair where all of the grades 10 and 11s descended on Rosetown to experience information and connections in the fields of post-secondary education as well as employment opportunities.  It was great to spend a day with students from across the division and our larger employment and education communities!

Annual Folk Fest

Explore the World!

Each year our grade 6 classes put a lot of work into researching and exploring cutlures from around the world!  The students provide information and even some culinary treats based on their research.  The entire community is invited and the rest of the school loves coming out to support the work of the grade 6 crews!
